A short little Poem/Intro Story to a Charater I made for a Roleplay Game My uncle ran.
This is a tale, As sad as you can think
Of a bard That was Cursed with Complexity.
Now why you would wonder did such a Curse come about
Well She annoyed a Goddess, that’s How!

This Bard you see Was a bit Silly.
Playing Pranks on people that should otherwise be left alone
But No, Oh no. Not Sloane
She had to pull a prank on one of the Goddesses own.

It wasn’t anything too bad. At least to the Sloane’s mind
Just a little tune strummed while they lead the prayer
To couse them to mumble and jumble
And then to Confess, Oh how the prank got out hand that day

Sloane Looked around and Laughed
Giddy over the little bit of fun she had
Next she knew she staring at the feet of a goddess in pale blue
She fell to her Knees and bowed her head,

She Kneeled there, feeling the Goddess’s Stare.
The wrath she felt, Well It’s enough to sear the Hair!
She felt a tremble, not sure if it was her or the ground
Then her Goddess was there, but with a frown.

Sister she said, I know she must be Punished.
But she is mine by rights, and she said with a slight smile
You must admit, the prank was well thought out
The Stare Never wavered, and Sloane dare not look up

Fine, Sister she said. She is yours by rights
She was living your code but she is mine to punish
As I see fit as I see right.
Sloane LoreWeaver Look at me, she said.

Sloane slowly raised her head and stared in the Goddess eyes.
Sloane, from this day on you shall atone for the chaos you brought Mine own.
Never shall you take the easiest way, Never shall simple do.
From this day on everything you do will be cursed with Complexity.

This Cure you shall carry Till you complete my tasks.
When your ready for the first Seek out the one you Made Confess
Sloane closed her eyes, Oh no not him!
Oh yes Sloane, you will atone. And more then just my Curse will be the Price.

And so starts the Sad sad tale of a Bard
Sloane LoreWever,
Cursed Bard and slave to the Whims of a Goddess
Not known to forgive.
