Second part of a forbidden love story.

"D-dinner......with you......tonight?", Lyrick said the words slowly, as if trying to figure their meanings out as she said them. "That's what I said." the man said, flashing a dazzling smile at her.

"I'm sorry, but, I can't," Lyrick replied, starting for the door once again. "Oh, I get it, you have a boyfriend.", he replied not caring to hide the disappointment that shown in his eyes.

"Actually, no. No boyfriend, it's just that I don't know you, I don't even know your name.", Lyrick said, surprising herself with how easily she could talk to this stranger. "Well that is easy to remedy, my name is Vynomn."

"So now that you know my name, what do you say to dinner tonight?"

        "I don't know......."

        "Please?"

Lyrick thought hard mulling over the pros and cons of a date with a total stranger. Yet there was something about this man, Vynomn, that pulled her to him, as if she were a puppet and he pulled the strings. 'Well,' she thought, 'I've got nothing to lose, except my life, and I'm not to sure I care about that, so why not give it a shot.'

"Ok," she replied, "I will go to dinner with you tonight."

He flashed his dazzling smile once more, showing a perfect row of pearly white teeth. "Great, I will see you at eight then."

Lyrick rushed out of the coffee shop, feeling strangely giddy. She walked through the crowded streets until she finally reached the music store, with one minute to go before she was late. She ran to the back room and set her purse on a table, clocking in and making her way behind the counter where her best friend, Mysteria, was checking out a customer.

"Have a nice day, Sir." Mysteria replied handing the customer his bag and sending him on his way.

"So, what are we doing tonight? Cards, movies, vegging out on ice cream and oreos?" Mysteria asked turning to look at her best friend.

"We can't tonight, I have a date." Lyrick said, waiting for the bomb to drop.

3........2............1................

"OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Mysteria shouted, jumping up and down before tackling Lyrick to the ground.

"I know, you're surprised, and from the looks of it, extremely happy, just don't kiss me this time."

"Don't worry, I won't, I'll leave the kissing for you and your date."

"Well, thank you, but I don't plan on any kissing tonight. I'm just repaying the kindness of a stranger, that's it, so don't get your hopes up."

"To late," Mysteria replied, sticking out her lower lip and giving her best friend the 'sad puppy eyes'. "So whens the date?"

            "At eight."

"Yay! I'm picking out your outfit, so you're coming home with me when you get off work."

"Oh no, please, not again, I DON'T LIKE PINK!"

"Well, in that case, I have to plan an entire outfit with nothing but pink." Mysteria replied, earning a death glare from Lyrick. "Fine, have it your way, I have something that you will love, don't worry, just accept the fact that I'm going to dress you."

            "Fine."

            "Ok then, its settled."

                                              Mysteria's House

"Nope, you can't look yet, I'm not done."

"Fine, I'm going to take a shower." Lyrick said, walking to the bathroom and, once inside, closing the door. She undressed and put her clothes on the counter beside the sink. Turning the water on, she made it extremely hot and stepped into the shower, closing the door and standing under the stream of liquid heaven as it washed away all her thoughts and eased her muscles. Finally, with a regretful sigh she began washing her hair, thinking about the man she met today and wondering how the date was going to go, She hoped that she had made the right decision by going out with him. She was extremely confused with herself. She hadn't so much as looked at another guy since the night Mark left, she wondered what was different now, that one stranger could make her come out of her shell. What was it about him?

She quickly finished her shower and began drying off with the big, fluffy towel Mysteria had left for her. Stepping out of the shower and wrapping the towel around herself, she walked into Mysteria's bedroom. The room was empty, but on the bed was the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. Black velvet with red trimming, it was a dress fit for a princess. Lyrick hurriedly slip the dress over her body, the dress fitting her like a glove, almost as if it was made for her. She ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, not recognizing herself. There was no way the woman staring at her from the other side of the mirror was her. The bags under her eyes were gone, and all she saw was a raven haired princess, the prettiest girl she had ever seen.

Lyrick began putting on her makeup, deciding on simple black liner to make her eyes pop, a little mascara, and a deep red lipgloss. She straightened her hair and let it flow freely down her shoulders to the small of her back. After she was done, she looked at the mirror approvingly. She walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs, looking for Mysteria. She found her in the living room watching tv. Mysteria turned around, her jaw dropping when she saw her best friend.

"Oh my God, you look so beautiful," she replied giving her a quick hug.

"Thank you," Lyrick replied, hugging back. "This dress is amazing, thank you so much."

          "Anytime love, anytime."

The two girls shared another hug, then sat on the couch to wait for Vynomn to show up. At eight o'clock the doorbell rang. 'Hmmmm.... punctual', Lyrick thought on her way to the door. She took a steadying breath and opened the door. Her eyes widened in shock and her jaw dropped as she looked upon the most gorgious site she had ever seen.
