In a sense, I know I should not be doing this. The constant game of "hard to get," is normally played by two people, not one. How is one supposed to run away when the other doesn't chase? To get it straight out there, reader, he loves my best friend, though he claims that, after their relationship had collapsed, he is done. Though what am I supposed to believe? His claims, or the endless nights that we stay up, hoping that one would have the answer to the questions that we are constantly asking.
Letting go is not the question, though more of a choice, and a choice that I must make. I pondered about this choice, and it just seems right. Not giving it a chance may be the safe route, and it might be the cleanest route. There would be no pain and no gain.
Reader, is the decision that I am about to make correct? Or do I really have a chance?
