A poem I wrote for the woman I love... |
Let us go then, You and I, To where the ocean meets the sky. I’ll take your hand with mine and run. We’ll leave this wretched world behind. We’ll think up things we never thought. We’ll build a ship and sail abroad. Imagined lands and real ones too, we’ll see the world and learn of God. Imaginary Lands abound, We’ll stop and take a look around. The noise unbearable may be, But between us There is no sound. Childish thoughts our dreams may be, But just between you and me, They are the most real things I’ve ever had. The dreams I dream When you’re with me. We’ll dream of ways to be alone. We’ll nevermore think of home. The world we make Together Is one we’ll Always own The sun will set the moon will rise, we’ll sing until our lungs grow tired. The ancient stories spring to life, as the sun gives way to night. Our adventures, that we made will be what utterly saves us from the reality of our sad deaths and of our graves. Now we look each other in the eyes, Hands clasped tight between tears and sighs, And dream of that magical place ...the place... Where the Ocean Meets the Sky... |
