Sometimes u find love in some unexpected places.
The white light over took her. She sheilded her eyes. When she was ajusted Jessica looked around. White walls, white tile floors, white celling tiles, Bright white lights. "Wow it sure is um, white." she said to the person who lead her in to her new room. The room was a square that had barely enough space to fit the bed, dresser, and desk. The bed sheets were of course white. She put her suitcase ont the dresser and opened one of the drawers and began to fill it with her clothes. As she finished unpacking she started looking around. Her bed was hard and scratchy. "Next 6 months will be hell." she thought out loud. She walked over to her desk. Inside the top drawer there was a stack of plain white paper. In the drawer under it was a stack of notebook paper. On top of the desk was a small black wire cup, filled with pencils and pens. Next to the pencils and pens was an electric pencil sharpener. "What a boring place this is." she said aloud to no one but herself. She fell back onto her bed. She thought back to the reason she was there. It was just last week. Her birthday. She was home alone. Her mom at "work". Where ever that was. She had taken enough of her life. Hated herself. On the outside at school she was known as the pretty, smart, emo chic. They said that because she wore eyeliner unlike the other girls. No one understood her though. Always quiet. Always alone. Her life had been hard. Her mom leaving for "work" ,as she called it, not returning until late at night. Her dad died when she was only a few months old. Her mom didn't like to talk about it. From the age she could walk she's been on her own. No one has ever understood her. All alone. Well that day she decided she couldn't take it. Took a knife and slit her wrists while sitting in the bath tub. Watching her blood fill the bath. She knew her end would come soon. Then she heard her mom coming home. the only thing she could choke out was, "Shit, she caught me." Her mom came into the bathroom just as she blacked out. "Jessica? Jessica are you with us?" Jessica snapped back to reality. When she looked up she saw a wonams figure standing in her doorway. "Ah. Jessica. Hi i'm Sandy. Your guide pretty much. I'll be just like your older sister." Jessica just nodded her head. "Well it's time for group." Jessica stared at her puzzled. "Group therapy." she clarified.Jessica nodded her head again. Sandy led her down a white hallway ,and past doors that were white of course. After what seemed to be never ending white doors they came to a door that had a small plastic tag next to it it read, "Room 132 Mr. Salas." she opened it and waved her in. She saw a white room and little blue chairs in a circle. There are about 20 people filling them. On one chair in the middle sat who she assumed to be Mr. Salas. He turned around to face her. "And who might you be?" he asked her but Sandy spoke up before her. "Her name is Jessica. Newbie." she said "Ah." he asnwered. "Theres one more empty seat for you over there. " He pointed twards a empty seat about 5 chairs away. She took her seat. "Jessica, is it?" he asked. Jessica nodded her head yes. "Where you from jessica?" "San Antonio." she answered. "Oh. Nice. Well why are you here?" Mr. Salas asked. "I'm here because of theese." Jessica held up her wrists to show the deep lasarations on them. The people in the group all looked woth horrid looks. "Eliaberate on thoose." he said with a plain expression on his face. "Well last week was my birthday. 15 Shitty years of my life. Gone right by. I couldn't take it anymore. So i laid in the bath and slit them. Sucks for me because my mom came home just before i blacked out. I woke up in the hospital. And before I knew it i was here." Mr. Salas looked shocked and turned his head away for a minute.
