Note: this is a true poem about my mom. She isn't dead yet. nor does she live in a special home.



Where's the love in my mother's eyes?

They're just two black holes now.

The love is gone.

She has Frontal Temporal lobe dementia and Picks disease.

I can only see the love she USED to have in pictures

taken BEFORE this

horrible,

heartbreaking,

heart wrenching,

(expletive),

depressing etc. disease.

She gets worse every freaking time I see her!

So where's the love in my mother's eyes?

It's gone.

Gone.

I miss the old mom!

The mom before the illness!
