This poem is about a married man's feelings for another woman and his dilemma.
Oh harken my eyes, who is this?
A beautiful angel made of bliss
She gracefully enters into the room
When she is near, my heart's abloom

But what is this between my fingers?
A ring of gold that coldly lingers
Reminds me of a promise I made
To judge by law I've humbly paid

Oh curse my luck! I am but a fool
Nothing more than a woman's tool
Is it wrong to have this feeling?
Should I be afraid of what I'm thinking?

But wait, who is this? Is this her lover?
Yes my heart, she has found another
They look good together, a lovely pair
As I sink and crawl into despair

Be still my heart for can't you see?
This love you feel, it cannot be
Be still my heart, Be still I say
For it is wrong to feel this way

At least she is with me in my dreams
The closest I'll be to her it seems
Tears I cry that can fill a pool
For how can an angel love a fool...
