Heat Lightning

In the darkness light,

Through the sightless night,

It came to me and made me right



The lightning strike

put up a fight

And came to match the cold dark night



It took no time

to reach to me

and the many other places it would be



It echoed miles

across the sea

Filling me with tranquility



Feeling safe

and sound today

from the storm so far away
