Tempting of the Mind

Humans... Minds that are so easily swayed.
Minds that take into belief, what they hear at ages young.
Heresy or truth, lies or fact; we believe what we hear first.
It is easy to impress upon the mind of those, who are just beginning.
Those who are just beginning their journey through life.
As they grow, belief in what you tell them becomes everlasting.
And so, a generation can be raised, believing in a quilt of lies.
They, the young who were swayed to false knowledge
Live on through their lives blindly following the teaching
Of the old, the wicked, and the deceitful.
This young generation, will live on, with a closed intellect.
For the lies of the old, have driven them to straightforward belief.
A rock steady unmovable belief, where fear outdoes reasoning and logic.
The lies exist eternally, and are kept firm through fear.
Fear of the unknown, has driven the young to believe the old.
When it is their own intellect they should trust.
