Jupiter is colder then I Imagined

I run around these rings
like we ran into walls of silence,
starting with youthful vigor
then, abruptly, standing still and
wondering where the life went,
waiting for that invisible barrier
to allow laughter and humanity back in,
so I can run like children through fields
until the heat of the universe burns
the silence away.
