I was so flattered when I read your letter
The most beautiful girl showed interest me
Even in my dreams could not hope for better
But I let morality get the better of me
The feelings were mutual if only you knew
But we were at such a very young age
The timing would be better as we grew
Really, I was shy and lack the courage


What an opportunity I let slip away
I have lived with the regrets ever since
