Why do you torture me in my dreams?
The only time I can search for peace
I rest my head on my pillow at night
And hope for something to bring me relief

As I drift off to sleep
I see you there
You taunt me and tease me
And you’re nowhere to be found when I wake

Then I drift to sleep again
And there you are again
You hold me and kiss me
And say that you love me

And when I pray for this to be real
You wake me up
I lay there in bed
Searching for your arms

Your voice
Your love

But it was only a dream

So I cry
And I fall back to sleep
And it starts all over again
