This is a duet poem written by me and a friend, I have gotten her permission to post this |
(her) I'm catching the Last Train sweetie, and I will be in your arms again. (him) I can't wait to see you Darlin. To have you in these arms, too long have I gone without my Southern Angel. (him) Ah but to be in your arms my Southern Angel, is to be held by all of Heaven itself, while the dawn sings her glory. (her) Heaven tunes will whisk through the wind, as we embrace beneath the Sunset. (him) The colors of the sinking sun, Unparalleled by the light in your Eyes. The song no match for the Sweetness of your Voice. (her) Dear, the skies cry for you to Return home. A safe haven awaits your arrival to keep you warm, from those the deadliest of nights. (him) If only to be in your arms my Dear, I would brave Hell itself. To be with you is all I need and will sail, the Seven Seas till I may come home again. (her) But Seas have weathered your Soul, do you have the strength to return to me? (him) As long as you wait for me always shall I return, For there is no safe port for my Weathered Soul, but that which you give to me. Always will I seek to Return to my Southern Angel |
