A poem about the importance and the roles of Grandmas throughout peoples lives |
A Wish, a Rant, a Reason, In my loving Grandma’s eyes, I the infant see in you, A shoulder to rest on, After all my cries. The world seems so new, I’m scared, small, naïve But when I’m in your presents, I’m fearless, I’m large, and wiser I grow, So I wish you the strength that you have given me. A Wish, a Rant, a Reason, In my loving Grandma’s hair, I the child see in you, Your sense in what is fair. I grow older and things get harder, I look for the easy way out, You never quit when things grow hard, And your example guides me today, So I will rant about your lessons. A Wish, a Rant, a Reason, In my loving Grandma’s heart, I the man can see in you, The woman who helped me start. Oh Grandma you have shown me the way, From youth to adulthood, My behavior you revised, The Reason to your existence, Is to help me Rise, Grandma, Rise. |
