Why do we put God in a Box?

Why Do We Limit God?



I don't know why we want to limit God. I have been guilty of this from time to time, and I'm sure if you are truly honest, you will say that you have too; yet I don't understand why we do it.

This is the God of the entire universe who creates the sunrise for us anew each morning and the sunset at night. He touches our children's and our loved ones body when they become ill, but when we need a miracle healing we can't seem to believe that it's possible.

We allow Him the room to take care of the small issues in our lives and have a hard time letting Him have control of the big stuff. We go to Him in prayer and ask for help, and then we turn around and try to work out the situation ourselves. We are always interfering in what He wants to accomplish, then we turn around and have the gall to wonder why He is not answering our prayers in our situations.

Why? Because we have put Him in a box. We think on a human level. God's thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are not our ways. If we really want Him to work in our lives then we have to take Him out of the box and let Him be what He truly is: A BIG GOD!!! He's so BIG that He can't fit into that box we have created for Him. The problem we have is that we know OUR limitations, and when we reach them, we generally throw in the towel and give up. There are no limitations with God, because with God all things are possible!!!

Do you need a financial breakthrough? Do you need a miracle healing in your body? Do you need to be free from an addiction? Do you need something that just seems impossible right now? If you do, then perhaps the answer to getting what you need is not through more prayer or fasting. Perhaps, you just need to take God out of that little box you put Him in, and let Him be the God he really is in A BIG WAY in your life!
