Dark Dragons

         Dark Dragons

Loneliness is when my creativity sparks
But it puts my mind into the dark

When I open the door just a crack
Even though the demons fight going back

Little boney winged dragons breathing fire
Swirling up from the darkness going higher

Filling the sky with their tiny frames
Coming together and forming various names

I reach for the creatures that show my past
But they fly apart lightning fast

Letting out smoke and fire as they flee
Then they stop just to annoy me

By forming another dark name
That is filled with hurt and pain

I go to the door and command them back
But they fight viciously in a frenzied pack

I do everything in my power to win
And finally trick them to go back in

The door is slammed and locked tight
And wearily I lie down for the night

Knowing that my victory won’t last
As a boney winged dragon flies past
