Beauty in my backyard

As I rock in a chair on my back porch

watching in awe as a summer shower,

blesses with its kiss of love.

The trees dance their crazy dance

as if in competition with the wind and rain.

If I close my eyes slightly,

the rain pouring from my overhang,

carries me to a place of peace...

With waterfalls that drown your sorrows.

The blades of grass kneel down,

beaten by the rains power,

only to rise up again!

As the sweet warmth of the sun

arrives, drying the tears with its gentle kiss.
