This is a an anglo saxon riddle i wrote for my british lliterature class
I lurk and I lie, I wait in the leaves

my home is dark, as dark as the earth

I always walk on my stomach, and I wait for my prey

the tall ones take me, they want my milk

they say it can kill, they say it can cure

my home it sits, in the land of the huge

i am related to many, evil being most prominent

the shriek of my predator, instills fear and a shiver
