You may not like my nine eleven poem, but it needs to be said
Nine Eleven

There are so many lies told about that infamous day.
The information withheld by the agencies in play.
Lies told by some, from a phone booth.
A cover-up was enacted to suppress the truth.

We should have known, we could have known;
The truth was there, the administration was shown.
The facts are there, obvious, and in plain sight.
Those in power knew there could be a hijacked flight.

Actions were taken to protect those in power.
They chartered the flights, for those from the ivory tower.
They didn’t want the common people to know.
They thought it might cause panic, or spoil the money flow.

They knew that in the U.S., Al Qaida cells did exist.
They knew of the pilot training of many a terrorist.
We were warned by the British, Italians and Russians.
We were warned by the Israelis, Arabs and Prussians.

This crime may never be taken to trial, I’ll bet.
Why weren’t we told of the obvious threat?
The cover-up was widespread and pervasive.
The continuing lies aren’t really persuasive.

Bush, Rice, and Ashcroft need to be tried.
They should account for their roles, and their false pride.
Powell says he was misled before going to the UN.
When will we stop protecting these men?

We could have gotten Bin Laden several times.
People in the government have committed crimes.
The truth is slowly coming out piece by piece.
The government must stop lying, the lies must cease.

If you care to check the facts, you’ll surely find,
That it wasn’t unexpected, and you’ll change your mind.
These horrific acts could have been prevented;
If only those in power had stopped, and lies not invented.

Bush and Cheney, what a power hungry, arrogant pair,
They only wanted to save their asses, and Bush just sat there.
Their legacy will be that we, and they, were wrong all along.
They should have protected us, and ended their swansong.

The media goes along with the mangling of truth.
You don’t have to be a detective or a great sleuth.
The prevailing feeling is to let the truth die.
Let’s not forget, an eye for an eye!

War is good for business and those in power, you see,
Billions of dollars to be made, but not by you and me.
The arms makers and dealers still get rich on our money.
I think we will find that the truth is not funny.

The incompetence in government is abound.
They just want for themselves, and not be found
That they’re stealing from us, and keep up the wars.
They’re no better than filth, pimps and whores.

I’ve said enough on the subject to get hate mail.
Especially from the uncaring people who fail,
To take the time to look, and learn the real truth.
Once again I’ll state, “You don’t have to be a great sleuth.”
