Love is alive
I saw you only yesterday,

even though from far away.

My heart was truly racing,

my mind was rapidly pacing.

My knees were about to buckle,

so I nervously cracked my knuckle.

My green eyes began to swell,

my loving heart did as well.

Your spirit I could feel near,

I wanted to run to you my dear.

My legs beneath me became weak,

my throat went dry I could hardly speak.

So I dreamt of you that very night,

I was holding on to you oh so tight.

It woke me at the crack of dawn,

took me a moment to realize you were gone.

I'm still awake with the memory of you,

and I'm not too sure of what to do.

I fill my cup with some more coffee,

added some cream flavored with toffee.

Turned on the radio to hear a love song,

knowing that with you is where I belong.

The beautiful sun will begin to rise soon,

and before I know it, it will be noon.

I'd have no words if weren't for love,

or the heavenly angels shining from above.
