Late Again

"As my alarm went off for the 3rd time, I realized I was once again late for school! I quickly jumped up and headed towards the shower. 1 minute and 30 seconds flat was all it took. I ran to my closet throwing clothes everywhere, trying to find something to wear. I managed to find my warm and cozy sweat pants, and my favorite purple shirt with black stripes. As I ran down the steps, I tripped over my fat, lazy cat managing to flatten his tail. I quickly poured a bowl of cereal and milk, downing it all in about 30 seconds. I grabbed my basket of lunch that my mother had generously made for me, and out the door I went. Realizing about three blocks from my house, that I still had my cereal spoon gritted between my teeth. Spitting it out in Mr. Oldmans yard as I ran past. Finally I reached the bus stop, I look left and saw nothing, looked right and saw the taillights of the bus. I missed the bus again. So, I took off, running to get to school in time. 12 blocks I had to run. I entered the building and made it to my class just as the bell was ringing. My teacher had a puzzled look on his face and the classroom was empty. He quickly informed me that today was a teacher work day!"
