I hear the bay it's silent call, come be with me at midnight |
I stand upon the moonlight shore, Waves roll across my feet. I hear the bay, It's silent call, Come be with me at midnight. A stretch of pale, perfect sand, Shimmers as though it moves. I hear the beach, it shifts and calls, Come dance with me at midnight. The broody turquoise ocean moves, Creating gentle waves. I hear It’s temperamental call, Come swim with me at midnight. Dolphins prance, beneath the waves, Their laughter fills the air. I hear their joy as they then call, Come play with us at midnight. A summer breeze rustles my hair, Sends shivers down my spine. I hear It’s light and whispered call, Come fly with me at midnight. Playful stars giggle, as they dance, Twinkling in rhythm. I hear their raucous, mirthful call, Come sing with us at midnight. A full, bright moon, hangs in the sky, Creates an eerie glow. I hear it calmly, wisely call, Come sleep with me at midnight. I hold a stone, it’s shining white, And toss it to the waves. I hear it gurgle as it calls, Come drown with me at midnight. I stand upon the moonlight shore, Tears glisten down my cheek. I share a simple, mimicked call, I’ll be with you by midnight. this is my first attempt to write with a syllable count, please let me know what you thing, all reviews and comments are welcome |
