Accept Me for Me

Why does it feel,
Like my heart is in two,

One side of me loves,
And the other side hates,

I love many things,
Mature talks, smiles and hugs,

But I hate the disrespect you give,
Why can't you just accept me for me?

What have I done,
The answer is nothing,

Instead the question is this,
What have you done?

I don't know this answer,
For only you know,

But with all that aside,
Only one thing remains,

A simple question, a plea,
Please accept me for me.
