INFERNO was conceived in the winter of 2011.  Writing began the following summer.  Inspired by Dante, it's a work about tribulation and damnation, meant to be both dark and also tongue in cheek.                Mad.  I swear I was mad as a hatter when I conceived it and began writing it.  My mind had to get into a very strange place to write the first scene of this book.  For crying out loud, I tortured a baby with diaper pins. (On the computer screen only, I assure you.)  I had been reading about child abuse and some story about a mother killing her children came on the news, and well....tick....tick....tick....I didn't hear an explosion, did you?
INFERNO is to be made up of five small volumes.  The first one which is my hobby book to be worked on on Sunday afternoons, is How to Destroy Heaven with a Silver Lining (Or What the Fairies Know).
I've written an introduction and first scene.  I've roughed a second scene but am not satisfied with it.  The book has more than one voice.  Second person gives you Skye Elise, a sort of modern day saint born in the 50s.  Yes, you get to go back to the 50s and be a baby boomer.  There is also a demon, a fairy, an angel, a priest.... It's a spiritual fantasy.  You could call it horror for Christians.  muhahahaha!
I'm happy with the introduction and first scene.  When it comes to the second scene and whatever comes after, I'm floundering.  This one is stubborn.  I grasp what is there, and then I sit down to write it, and it eludes me.  Characters keep auditioning, and I wait for the right ones.  I'm having trouble casting my demon.  I think this one's too preachy, but we'll see.  Maybe somebody else will wander in.  I could just put together a folder for auditions.  That might do.

I hope you find INFERNO enjoyable, or at least, thought provoking.  It is intended to do that, to let the reader think some deep thoughts and maybe converse with himself, or others, or even God, depending on where his head is at.  I got a long way to go, though.  So patience is required.  I guess this Sunday, I'll see about auditions.
