My Inner Child-Love and Pain

My Inner Child

Hi, it's your inner child here talking to you
Audrey.  I know how painful it is to have love
snatched right from under you, but it's not
the end of the world.  He didn't deserve
you at all, but I think he needs to know
that he has hurt you.  I know how painful

this all is, but he doesn't know the pain
he has caused in you.
I feel he needs to know
why you have no more love
to give him.  Doesn't he deserve
to know why you've stop supporting him...not

that he really needs to know, but...well...not
knowing can be just as painful.
You deserve
more than you've been getting lately. You
need to have some love
saved for yourself and for me.  I know

that love scares you and I know
that intimacy scares you, but to not
experience it because of the pain love
has given you in the past, I know
will destroy you…
Even if you think you don't deserve

love and romance, I'm here to tell you that you DO deserve
love and romance.  You just need to know
who is willing to truthfully give this love to you.
Audrey, this is not
my way of preaching to you, this is me feeling the same pain
you are and helping you heal with my love.

Someone once told you about how the inner child's love
can conquer mountains.  You deserve
nothing but the best.  Pain
will happen in life,  but know
that the hurt is not
forever.  I believe in you

like no one else ever has.  Pain maybe his forte, but its not
you.  I know you deserve
nothing but the best and know that I will always love you…

Even if no one else can.
