The Children of the Future

For the children of the past,

they lived a life of inspiration,

in the midst of several changes,

they require our admiration.



They could run wild and free,

there weren't as many Ped's,

parents' always knew where they were,

and not have to worry that they are dead.



For the children of the future,

we are full of hopes and dreams,

but in reality,

nothing is as it seems.



We wish them the best,

our little prides of joy,

but the future will be a test,

for every girl and boy.



We wish them love and happiness,

a good environment too,

but due to this economy,

their world will be grey and blue.



We may not be there,

to watch them laugh and grow,

we should make this world better,

for the children of the future will be here before we know.
