In My Dreams

Im my dreams I see a crazy house with a porch
both of us dressed in white pajamas with buckets of bright paint
and canvas we chose to ignore

we painted everything in color, even the sea
while others pondered our play
they too were ignored while we did laugh

our brushes taken, but not our day
we finger paint purple and orange leaves
lime green mail boxes, and grass and rocks in every color.
