The hidden truth. Hope The shrill siren of the Little girl call Resonates throughout an empty house, Devoid of color, light, variety. Gathering together, All pieces of one puzzle, Suddenly strange faces appear, Penetrating the darkness With the white that envelops them. A dark world turns suddenly Light. Standing, grimacing, She accepts the compliments Flying at her, The disguised love That looks like encouragement. The shell of a girl, Long gone. Emptied of joy, Filled with hate. Despising the foreign Person she acquaints Herself with. Loving what She has made her. Constantly endangered By the person that She faces each day As she looks through The mirror, Recognizing someone Else, a distorted Image, the skeleton her Friend encourages.
