A short Poem I wrote when observing the life around me |
Once upon a time, That’s just it there is no once upon a time only life upon a dime Life taken by a crime with a gun that shines And bullets that travel faster than electrons doing the electric slide There are no such things as fairy tales Only jail cells and jail bails Only cops chasing after a black guy talking about He killed a lot of people like the lady from kill bill Magic does not exist Only the illusion of someone doing it in front of our eyes Blink and another soul dies Babies cry And the boy that's lost and whines for his mother to come find him in time Because the father isn't there And he isn't over here Probably caught up in the middle Trying to figure out what’s right and wrong From smoking a cigarette to listening to his baby girl perform her first song Then taken a drink becuase he isn’t have a job in so long There cant be a happy ever after When we’re still in the present and cant get past the factor Kids dying everyday like its a game to master Like it’s a trending item Give it to som1 for Christmas in a death skull wrapper It’s funny to see people sit and complain When no one is doing anything to make a change They jus sit back and smoke Chill and talk slang And if it isn’t that its wars between gangs They don’t realize the corruption the Gov. have brought us The pain and lies among us Because their all too scared to open their eyes and see whats been taken from us Its funny ho we got rights Yet we're not treated right They keep us in the dark and away from the light Because once we get that little flash of hope We might and try and fight And they know if we fight we might succeed We need som1 to plant t hat seed Some1 to come out and reach For us As a whole, as a family I mean I cud go out and say something but no one's going to listen If I scream yell Even if I start flipping Because all the people see in me Is an annoying little teen trying to make a difference |
