Praise For Nothing

Does a bird receive praise,
For flying through the sky?
Or, for swimming the clear blue waters
Does the fish deserve applause?
These are natural acts,
For which the creature was born to do.
It does not achieve anything special.
It merely survives.
As such, should we give credit to those
Whom some deem talented,
When the task that brought them into the spotlight,
Is the same task that keeps them alive and sane?
