Sara Lee has recently qualified as a medical practitioner and the Shadowsail is her first deployment. Habitually nervous and overly critical of herself, her aim is to complete this journey without any mishap. She is tall and relatively athletic, but still slightly prone to puppy-fat. Physically she is a little over averagely attractive, but her self-consciousness registers as a turn-off for most men. Having split with her long-term boyfriend shortly after qualifying, she is typically uncomfortable around men unless in a professional setting. Hugely family-orientated, she plans on wide galactic travel for the next few years, and then return to her parental planet, Nancledra to specialise and be close to her family. Her brother's children are among the most important people in her universe and it was her sister's death of childhood leukaemia that pushed her into medicine.
