A symbiotic poem of Fire and Ice.

Flames burn bright
In the heat of
Relentless passion,
Expanding upon all that is.

Smoke emerges from the flame, vapor from the ice.
Yoked by extremes, searing heat to a gelid freeze, both are
Mediums in our kitchens for storing and cooking our meals.
Big or small, flames can burn, scar and kill.
Ice, dry, can burn with frostbite and be fatal.
O
These extremes are beautiful but at a high price.
Igniting fires and freezing water into ice are
Creation's most basic forms of survival and death.

Idle water sits as temperatures plummet;
Constructing into a new form of matter,
Ending the flow of the continuous stream.
