This poem is about coming into Christianity. |
As I lay in my darkened hole, I saw a light trail through. I winced mine eyes as the shadows hid my soul, But the warmth of the light was different and new. As the light came closer to, I reached for its hand to free my darkened whole. I observed the light was made of gold, Followed by a man with green and brown to hold. He smiled at me with an inner light, Filled with passion and bliss forevermore. He showed me the glory of my eminent sight, And allowed my soul to give out a great roar. It was the first glance of his beautiful eyes, That took me back and made me cry. I thought it crazy that we had very close ties, From the very moment we locked our eyes. He showed me a love I never knew, Devouring every moment I had in his arms. Suddenly the blackness turned its hue, He smothered me; he did, with his wondrous charms. It was then I noticed my broken chains, Lying at my feet behind my metal bars. He freed me swiftly and gave me the reigns, Taking me away from every single one of my scars. I now live in peace in a humble abode, Loving life more and more. I now can see clearly down my sweet road, With silver and crystal on velvet velour. He tells me of my future bells, Wearing satin for clothes and flowers on the floor. He speaks of the red carpet and everything he tells, That my soul will be joined and together we’ll sour. Forever we will live together at home, In a life filled with pleasure and forgiveness. Our spirits will always want to roam, But we’ll never be to far away from our home. |
