A Dream

One day you'll awaken
and find, there's no doubt,
This life you've mistaken
One long, dreary bout.

A path that you've walked
For, oh, far too long.
The others just gawked
But you knew they were wrong.

You're nobody grand
you're you, and that's all
Not to say that you're bland,
But what's to befall?

It's not all that bad,
But not what you'd choose.
