A young woman in a rush on a rainy day to meet her beloved.
Rain.

I hate the Rain.

I hate the cruel howling wind. I hate the ugly mourning umbrella parades. I hate the gloomy funeral sky.

Michael, when you left me, it rained.

Translucent beads of raindrops blinded me from the intimidating silent staring of the guardian angels. I strode hurriedly along the stony path. Little wet bullets splattered with every rush steps, staining the threading hem of my worn-out jeans.

I stopped; taking little breaths. The chilly air made my heart spikes painfully. Persevering through the cruel blustery weather, I rested two, three steps every time the wind raged. Counting the blown away bloody petals, I desperately secured my arms tighter, protecting my precious delivery.

“Raphael?” I called softly.

His lips crooked upwards, smiling faintly. Those sapphire blue eyes glitter watery, overflowing with sad longings. He opened his arms and wrapped them around me lightly, minding my roses. Leaning in, he pressed his cool lips gently on my cheek.

“It’s been a long time, Alex… ” Wiping his blemishing cheeks, he stepped backwards. I bowed my thanks at Raphael, and knelt down to kiss the cold tombstone.

“Michael…”
