A journey through perceptions. |
It's a wonderful day. The birds are singing and over there two dogs are humping. Oh-oh, that's vulgar. Little Sally tugs on her mom's skirt and points. She is a child an doesn't understand why the dogs are humping. Her mother makes up some excuse and pulls Sally away from the scene. What is the problem? Well, in some cultures sexuality is a taboo. It is to be discovered by chance events like this one or from older children with bad advise: "Sally guys like to mess with girls. It's what everyone is doing." An adolescent boy will say anything to impress a girl and get some sex. The awful truth is that most girls are very disappointed with their first sexual encounter. They have no idea how to pleasure themselves. So, what is needed is a honest sex-ed class on attaining an orgasm. A sexual therapist could guide the students to a healthy sexual life style. But, at what age should sexual therapy begin? In Sweden students are encouraged to explore their sexuality in high school sex-ed courses, which include lessons on kissing and touching. Is this too much to ask from an over burdened school system? Perhaps, the answers to a healthy sex life can found in Japan. Japanese mothers are rewarding their sons for good grades with oral sex. Granted Japanese culture is not influenced by Christian mores, but what kind of grades would American students get if they were rewarded with sex .. with a licensed sexual therapist? Imagine a school where sexual therapist actively satisfying the adolescent angst to feel good about their sexuality. This open door policy might end sexual maladjustment. You may think I'm a dreamer, but most teenagers have had sex and unfortunately they are not practicing safe sex. If new law could be made to allow free and easy access to sexual therapy the troubled and sexually inhibited would have a healthy outlet. It is the right of every sexual person to have easy affordable sex. Let's all have good sex! Muzzy |
