I am surrounded by others in this strange land
I am without history no more but full of ethnicity
People of my ancestry have fought to make me into history
Martin Luther King dreamed of me been equal
Cesar Chavez starved himself so I can be treated fairly
Wong Kim Ark made those born here into citizens
Gandhi showed that violence isn’t the answer
Sitting Bull fought for one day I could live in my land
For these human beings, men were men
Not just aliens in the land they were born in
For I am someone who is powerful united with others
I am strong with others who some look as inferior
For I am
