Thoughts for a rainy day...

I close my eyes and listen
to the rain that pounds the pavement
taking in all the sounds and smells
calming a place deep within me.

I watch the flash dance across the endless sky
lighting places unseen by the human eye

I cannot help but smile
at the way earth is designed

For I know that no matter how bitter the cold
How hard the rain
or how hopeless I may be

That with all this turmoil here
My season of flowers and new begins
will always come again.
