You have to be comfortable with your smart phone so you will know how to send information to your customers.

Google Voice Search allows you to speak your search requests without the use of buttons and shows local results based on your location, without you having to enter your location. It's the fastest, easiest way to get the search results you want with very little manual input.

You can use smart phones to download apps for virtually anything on the web. You can use it to purchase everything from an entire ensemble from Macy's to a cup of coffee from Starbucks. The options are endless. There are apps for weather, horoscopes, music, photos, social media, and so much more.

The more you make use of mobile media, the more you will find it's not complicated, and you will be able to explain how it works. Mobile marketing is the newest avenue for marketing and advertising to consumers. By understanding how it works, you will make it that much easier for your customers to find what they're looking for from your business.

As an example: Download LinkedIn on your smartphone, enable your Bluetooth function, open the LinkedIn app. On the app, you will see an icon that shows two people shaking hands, called “In Person”. If someone close by has LinkedIn installed on their smart phone, touch your phones together and you've created a Bluetooth exchange on LinkedIn and you never typed a single word.

Spend as much time as possible getting to know how your smart phone works, get familiar with its ins and outs. What can it do and what is it not yet capable of doing? Once you have mastered all that smart phone technology is capable of, you can begin to create a marketing campaign that will make consumers opt-in to receive mobile phone based advertisements.
