Thoughts I came up with while my head was lost in the stars.
She wants to
Be colossal,
Just so she can run
Her long and bony fingers
Through the soft clouds
To make striped patterns.

She wants to
Be unbreakable,
So she can cup the scorching sun
In her hands,
Scared and bruised
And worn with time.

She wants to
Hold,
The cold and neglected moon
To keep its sole inhabitant,
The Man, warm
And keep him company.

She wants to
Burn,
And join the stars
Shining bright,
Seen even from lightyears away,
A small glimmer in an infinite universe.

But her feet,
They keep her grounded.
Fettered by gravity,
Grounded by reality,
Shackled to the skin of the earth,
Unable no way to flee
