~rough draft~ |
When I am No More When I am no more will I still look upon your face? Keep watch over you during the day? Visit your dreams and tell you I'll keep you safe? When I am no more, shall I see it all I haven't had a chance to see? See places I only heard of or dared dream? Fly the skies and bask in earth's glory? When I am no more will there be a door waiting for me? Do I get to see those I once lost myself? Sit and reminisce with them for as long as I want? When I am no more, will my guardian Angel wait of me? Show me around heaven once we pass through the pearly gates? Do I get to see God in all his Glory at all? When I am no more do I get to walk through the gates of hell? Perhaps play cards with the Devil himself? Or put coals into the fire to light up its doom? When I am no more will either of them tell me what am I to do? Or shall I wonder on my own throughout time itself? A destination, a goal, a resurrection, or even more? When I am no more, will that be my end? A single light extinguished, only few tears shed? Would my last choice be ashes or dust, or six feet under? When I am no more, what happens to me then, I wonder? |
