A man gets a cryptic clue from a Youtube message, and he sets out to find the meaning.
“Five Words”

By Alexo773

I’m terrified. I’m going to admit it. I followed the clues. Everything! I got it all, and what do I get in return? Sorry. It’s 11:02 PM, and I probably don’t have much longer. Let me explain…

Have you ever liked something so much, that you became addicted to it? No, I don’t mean drugs. I mean anything, a video game, a food, a drink, anything. You think about whatever it is all the time, every day until that one day you think, “I’m not going to play this game/eat this food/drink this drink today,”. Maybe you’ll give in and do whatever it is you’re addicted to again. If it’s a real addiction, your body or mind will object, and you’ll either fight through it, and it will someday become the thing you look back at and remember good or bad time. But if you object and your body objects terribly, it can be a real nightmare.

Now, my recent addiction was a surprise, Creepypastas. I didn’t really realize it until I had watched and read at least 25 in one day. Now I’m one of those people who isn’t really a person who gets freaked out about them, but I’m the kind of person who gets paranoid and thinks about things too much, until it becomes a monster. So after reading that many, my mind began racing. I was half expecting Jeff The Killer to bang against my door. I still can’t play Majora’s mask again. I see Slendermen in dark corners. But the thoughts never scare me. I liked the creativity of the BEN DROWNED story. Jeff the Killer is perfectly paced. Jeff is Back is just as intriguing. And I had formulated a plan to stop Jeff if he really knew where I lived.

After that day, it was a Monday, but we had a day off, so naturally I went on the Creepypasta Wiki, and opened a new tab with Mr. Creepypasta on it. I watched Barbie.avi, which I didn’t get at first, but then it clicked, and it still wasn’t that creepy, just weird. I listened to Diary of a Madman, which grossed me out. But then, after I hit Thirty Creepypastas, something started to change. They started to have little effect on me and they frankly started to bore me. So I decided to try something new. I would record one of my own.

looked all over websites for a good one I haven’t heard or read before. That one happened to be, “You shouldn’t have done that,” I, at first found it pretty stupid, as it was just two words, “Highlighting Truth” and what seems like two pages of blankness. Then it hit me. I had to highlight the page to get the story. So I did, and the story amazed me. I realized how good the writing was and how it made sense of the BEN plot. So I read it and I put it on YouTube. I showed it to my friends, who weren’t into Creepypastas. They just looked at me telling me that I just stared at them for 5 minutes.

The video wasn’t well received at all either. People called me a troll. They told me that I was a liar and that the video was just five minutes of silence and a picture of BEN. Then I went on Youtube and looked at it. It was fine. Then, I got a message from someone named MRCREEPYPOSTER, which at the time I read as Mr. Creepypasta, but it wasn’t, looking back at it. I opened the message, and it read this:

Greetings Youtuber

Saw your video and loved it.

You’re a Creepypasta addict like me aren’t you?

Well, I have the video for you.

At first, I thought he was linking me to one of his videos, as I still thought it was from Mr. Creepypasta. So I clicked when the user’s name was JBEEFNF and the Video was named DKRIOLWLNEERD.AVI. I didn’t think anything of it as I watched it, which was 10 minutes of a lamp and a book in a lightened room. Frowning, I looked over at the comments and there were only 5. This was those 5

8Feet- Comment posted by NEMREDNELS

Tarps - By Ken8789

The salty tastes- By OZZY12

Aren’t I beautiful?-By RELLIKEHTFFEJ

You shouldn’t have posted that- By NEBBEN56

Naturally, this confused me, as there was no tarp in the video and there was nothing that would make me think what I had watched had to do with salt. Plus, the last two made me shake my head, as the last one shamelessly had just ripped off my two favorite Pastas. I disregarded the video and quickly forgot about it, choosing rather to see what the heck was wrong with my recently posted video.

I woke up in the middle of the night, and saw another split second Slendermen, which was still obviously in my imagination. Anyway, I still kept getting those stupid comments and dislikes complaining about how there’s no sound on my Youtube video. I decided to stop the haters, so I recorded a video of the video on camera and posted it.

5 Minutes after I posted it, I got another message from MRCREEPYPOSTER. In this message there was only one long string of letters:

B J S B D E E L A I N F E R A F N B R D I Y E E R.

There was also another video link. This one was also by JBEEFNF and was called BDAIRABRIYE. Somehow, I noticed that there was a similarity between this title and the strange string of words. But once again, I disregarded it and watched the video. It was 10 Minutes of A Grandfather Clock Ticking. Once again, there were Five Comments from the same five users:

In the shadows- by NEMREDNELS

Train Tracks- Ken8789

I like writing- OZZY12

A party- RELLIKEHTFFEJ

Telescopic- NEBBEN56

Yep, still nonsense. But then, something started to click. I put the comments from the people together, and got these…

8 Feet in the Shadows- NEMREDNELS

This one seemed to make a bit of sense, as I realized that Slendermen were 8 feet tall and were usually in the shadows. Then I got:

Tarp Train Tracks- Ken8789

This one made no sense, so I ignored it. Then there was:

The salty tastes I like writing- OZZY12

This one made no sense as well.

Aren’t I beautiful? A party- RELLIKEHTFFEJ

This one immediately clicked. Jeff the Killer said that to his mom, and his final incident happened at a Party. Finally, there was:

You shouldn’t have posted that Telescopic-  NEBBEN56

This one made sense. BEN. But OZZY and Ken’s made no sense. I decided to look back at my video, and as I expected, there were people still complaining. I was tired of it, so I took both of the videos down. Then I got a message from Ken8789 that read:

I’m not perfect

This message had a video link: DBIEANRY, This was 10 minutes of a candle burning. Now, there were only Two comments. It’s as if they knew I had figured something out. They read:

I had a revealing dream- OZZY12

My Skin- Ken8789

Then it clicked. OZZY12 was referring to Diary of a Madman, about a man who begins loving to drink blood, and writes it in his diary. And Ken8789 was referring to Barbie.avi, about a girl who gets a complete plastic surgery from a man in the woods. So I had that figured out. But what did the letters mean? And why was I getting these cryptic clues? Why couldn’t anyone hear my videos? I kept thinking about it until I got an idea. I opened up a word generator and put the letters from the cryptic MRCREEPYPOSTER video. Then I told it to also look for the letters in all the videos that I was sent. It took a while, but then I got a result, and that moment shocked me forever.

The results read like so:

         Slender

         Ben

         Barbie

         Jeff

         Diary

That’s it. It only gave me those five results. By now, I thought someone was just playing a game with me, but it wasn’t over. I realized MRCREEPYPOSTER wanted me to send him the answer, so I did. 10 Minutes later, I got this message:

YWDOTOIENUULESLSDAY

Great, another nonsense note. I put it in the word generator and what I got out of it was 5 words that changed my life forever:

You

Will

Die

On

Tuesday

I looked at the clock, and it was Monday, 11:58 PM.
