CHILD ABUSE-a curse to our society

The sole reason i am writing this article is a real story i watched on a TV show.Well, the story was that a girl of just 2 years was molested and sexually abused by her own Grandfather.SHOCKING it is!The relation between a girl and her grandpa is one of the sweetest and purest relations anyone can ever come across and then coming across something like this.Its heartbreaking.Child abuse-Surveys tell that in some countries, about 53% of children are sexually abused or harassed.And, only girls are not victims of this.In fact, equal number of boys are prey to this.And, the shocking part is that this is mainly caused by relatives, family friends or even their own family members. Children are said to be god’s messengers and epitome of innocence.And, this is what we are doing to them?Those people who do such crimes(yeah.its a crime.a big crime) do it, forget it and move on.How can they get away with it so easily?And, the children who are victims of such a heinous crime get into depression and start feeling guilty for something that was not their mistake.This depression has also lead to suicides in many cases.New technology, new developments, easy life, thousands of comforts.We have advanced in almost every sphere of life but our way of thinking, this behaviour, it proves we were much better in the era of stone age or bronze age.This story has proven the teaching that my mother gave to me when i was young that “RESPECT YOUR ELDERS” wrong.Now, i have learnt two things.The first one, respect a person but not because of his/her age but because of his/her deeds and actions and the second one, do not trust anyone blindly.This article may not have a topic of your interest.But, it is something that shows you  the darker shades of world in which you are living.
