Break me down
Into the smallest pieces
Take me apart
Dismantle my truth
Expose what's inside
See me for who I am
Not all that I pretend
Let others know
Scream if you must
Show every one of them
Even those devoid of concern
Make them see
Eyes wide-open if need be
Twist their arms
Shouts words of encouragement
As you demand their resolve
Do whatever it takes
Regret nothing of your ways
They will thank you someday
And if they don't
Fear not because you
Will have done your part
Make sure none of them look away
Mine is the greatest possible case
An example of all things betrayed
They will learn
Many valuable lessons
All set to a level of ridiculousness
Within an emotionless desert
With no living construct
This being that is me
A man, turned creature
Made into a hell of a beast
Is as incapable as he seems
Break me down
Beyond skin
Beyond bones
To the core of my fractured home
No monuments stand tall
No god of light burns bright
Only darkness and doubt reign
Take all the pieces out
Carelessly lay them about
Allows those in attendance
To see the intricacies of me
Allow them to poke and prod
Allow them to remove any pieces
They deem insignificant
For the betterment of all kind
I must let them and they must oblige
As soon as they are done
As soon as all that I am
Bores them to near death
Let them go
Upon their contradictory way
Fear nothing of what they know
Each lesson bled wise
Each concept cannot be denied
Each is stuck, deep within their craw
If not immediately
Then certainly eventually
All that is me
Will come rushing full force
Hitting them in the gut
Falling down, gasping for breath
They will act as if they forgot such things
But just as quick
As if all they were
Or could ever hope to be
Depends on it, they will remember
Break me down
Into the smallest of pieces
So that creatures potentially more freighting
Can learn a lesson that one day
If not this one
Could make all the difference…
