I heard the funeral song in the sheer silence of a hot summer day,
I rushed through these weird crowd starring in amazement at what came into my way.
And then the band went on playing and singing,
The funeral guests were dancing and swinging,
The purple hats and black veils spinning,
The golden wreaths blinking, rays of sunlight beaming.
I tried to make my way towards the exit of the street,
When I just smelt the odour of rotten meet,
I started running and when gasped for breath,
On my lips I felt the kiss of
