Seniors Whom Choose To Remarry

I have watched the older widows in my building, remarry in their 70's to early 80's. All have condo units purchased with their previous husbands, Some keep their condo unit for their family to vacation to. Some  sell their condo 

These elderly women were born before the boomer generation.  Do they possess different values than later generations?  Some have worked in the industry of providing war equipment or in the war 11 as nurses, office clerks ect.  When the war ended they returned back to homemakers.  The lived in a era where the man was the main bread winner  of the domain. Or do they remarry because they are llonely or ost without a man around?

The senior ladies in my building were always nicely dressed, make up on, hair done professionally, every week, ect. Leading a life of upper class elderly ladies.

They get re-married, move out, between moves, I have bumped into them, on the elevator or in a mall. Their appearance has been deminished dramtically. No make-up on, hair a mess, clothing in dis-array.
My quiry is ......

Do the needy men wear them down? Or did they put on an act to snag an old goof, who seemed rich?

Only to discover, they married a miserable cheap old man whom is living off of their monies and wearing them down with high demands.
