Rainbow over the desert

The first time I saw her,she was on the
dance floor...
Down at the Honky-Tonk they call the
pitch fork...
Jeans tucked inside her boots and a red
cowboy hat...
I pulled a chair up right where she was
dancing at...
Don't think she knew I was there or felt
my stare
           
              I never caught her eye
              and I should have realized
              I never had a chance
              to win her romance...
              What was I thinking
              that we could be together

She was a cross between Shania and Carrie
Underwood
And not a cowboy here that wouldn't take her
if he could
Every time I look at her,Man I swear she's
looking back at me...
She's probably thinking I'm Hot, and wants to
come an talk to me...
  But in reality...

This woman has me stuttering,Feels like my tongue's tied in a Knot..
Whys she have to be so dog-gone Hot - And me so dog-gone Not...

And why do I keep Staring , Knowing really my chance's are Despairing..
That I'll find a lady Friend , Like one that's made for marrying...
But when I looked up -  She was gone like the Wind.
