Move on
Step ahead
Leave the lost behind
Dare not try to find them again
Let their shapes fade away
Into an oblivious dream
Never again feel as you do
Set yourself completely free
If need be at the price of them
And all that they truly intend
Do what you have always wished
No one will blame you
For such a seemingly selfish thing
No one of course except for them
Who cares what they say or do
Simply and without regret refuse them
Another seconds worth of your time
Leave the lost behind
No longer feel as if you
Are obligated to the mess
They have made of their lives
Do not allow them another chance
To infect you as they always have
Become clean, become free
Wash their stain from your skin
Remove memories of them from your head
Remove emotions forced from your heart
Start over whatever it shall mean
By yourself you will always be ok
With them you will be destroyed
Leave the lost behind
And in turn discover yourself
On the other side of a life found…
