A sigh of ecstasy echoes in the night
As two lovers, a fire they ignite
Every hot sensual touch burned into her memory
Not knowing his attention would be temporary

Nerve endings tingling
Lips puckered seeking
Her mind not once questioning
The sincerity of his lovemaking

But in the light of day
When he has gone away
The absence of his touch
Does hurt much

For she finds that he loves another
Every other night he is with her
Each moment with her she feels will be his last
He insists that the time will never come to pass

But each time he leaves for her a trinket
Of sugar coated lies dipped in chocolate
A bouquet of edible deceit
A heartbreak wrapped up so perfectly
