Can the sun erase the rainbow's colors? |
VISIONS AND ILLUSIONS BEST OF THE RISING STARS, FEBRUARY 2014, by GabriellaR45 The sun let itself slowly drown in the horizon Waves danced over the nervous sea, unworried The furious wind and heavy rain, oh such emblazon The trees sigh; no worries, it’s so worthied Will the gray, shy clouds allow the sun To erase the rainbow’s colors and not bother? Could the colors fall over my loved one Maybe he would become ... another? Isn’t it nice when we lift our eyes to the night’s sky And know that someone watches over the stars? Wouldn’t it be nice to be an eagle flying up high Or watching the world’s peaceful blue from Mars? Why do I worry so much about things - is it my age? Or … simply knowing I know that I have lived? What is it? My life won’t be written in one page … I know I’ll sleep and awake – curiosity undisguised I must overcome fears, accept the end of a day Maybe change the position of a stone So it could observe life in a different way Surprise myself with me; I am not alone I am too wise to dream of changes - up on a pink cloud I am too wise to seek the past through cracked windows I must talk to myself softly; yet still dream, seek, be proud But bow, bend and twist in acceptance - like weeping willows.
